Riverside Drama Circle is a community theatre group. We’re passionate about drama, fun and putting on a good show.
We began in 1972, originally as an off-shoot of Riverside Ladies Club. Thanks to the driving force of founder member Dermot Cummins, we soon had women, men and children from all walks of life in our ranks.

Our first performance was ‘Them’ by Tom Coffey and our ‘stage’ was some timber pallets on top of beer barrels. Needless to say, our production values have improved a lot since then.
Over the years we have staged pantomimes, pageants, Tops of the Town and more recently, pub theatre every winter and a full length production every spring. Our audiences have been loyal to us for years, so we must be doing something right.
Want to join the fun?
We’re always interested in welcoming new people to our group. If you’d like to get involved on-stage or backstage, get in touch and we’ll tell you everything you need to know.
When is our next show?
If you’d rather just enjoy the show, then we’d love to see you at our next production. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook or Twitter for updates on dates, times, venues and more.
As a community theatre group, we like to support local causes. After every production we donate to charities in our area, but no amount of support is too much. If you can, please consider donating your time, spare change or anything you can to:
Thanks to all our audiences, friends, and supporters for allowing us to do what we do. See you on the stage!
